Traveller’s no.1 choice when on the go

We created the perfect portable sanitizing device that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria and viruses within minutes.

Our product was designed for people who are always on the go: flight attendants, pilots, business travellers, travel bloggers etc.

If you are one of them then you know: due to your frequent travels you get into contact with many contaminated, high touch surfaces just like a tray table on a plane or a dirty, unhygienic hotel room during your stay. Bacteria can cause everything from gastrointestinal issues to skin infections. These common types of bacteria are frequently found on your everyday surfaces.

When you’re in a hotel room, there’s that stranger factor. We tend to think if it looks clean, it is clean. However, a visual assessment can’t tell you about bacteria or viruses. It can tell you what’s on the surface, but not if it’s been sanitized.

At Everclean our aim is to provide you with an efficient, microbiologically proven and environment friendly solution to” make you feel like home even when you are away.”

ENVIRONMENT
FRIENDLY

99,9%
EFFICIENCY

~10.000 HOUR
LED LIFESPAN

UV-C light has long been used in healthcare for sterilizing operating rooms, disinfecting drinking water, sanitizing wastewater or sterilizing food contact surfaces.

The technology is even used by NASA: “We are really excited to be able to provide this new system that will enable astronauts aboard the space station the ability to conduct important life science research. With this technology, it is possible to destroy about 99.99 percent of all pathogens within seconds, without addition of chemicals, without harmful side effects, inexpensively, highly efficiently and absolutely reliably.”-Lee Jordan, Microgravity Science Glovebox project manager, NASA

How dirty hotel rooms actually are?

Remote controls

The study found that the more luxurious the hotel was the dirtier the remote control was. Why are so many people watching TV and what are they doing with their hands before switching channels? One of the researchers suggested that perhaps they are business travelers who come from a long day of meetings and just plop down in front of the TV without washing up after a long day of conferences and meetings. Has anyone actually seen a housekeeper clean a remote??

Hotel Phones

Most people in today’s day and age are using their own mobile phones, yet hotel phones had a fairly high incidence of bacteria when swabbed.

Hotel Room desks

Please refrain from putting your sandwich on the hotel room desk. The overall average for hotel desks is 604,907 CFU per square inch . Business travelers may be the culprit again here, perhaps because they are likely to eat while working at the hotel room desk.

Bathroom counters

A WebMD study cited that the average home bathroom had 452 CFU bacteria per square inch as opposed to three star hotel bathroom counters measuring in with an average of 320,007 CFU per square inch, four star hotels with an average of 2,534,773 CFU per square inch, and five star hotels averaging , 1,011,670 CFU per square inch of space. The overall average of CFU was 1,288,817 per square inch.

The truth is bacteria is everywhere and many of them are actually harmless or even beneficial to the human body. However when staying in a hotel we can never be sure how well the rooms are cleaned and sanitized.

These rooms have guests from all over the world with different levels of hygiene and it is better to be on the safe side and have a practical solution with us for sanitizing.

So you have two options:

1. You pack your bag full of liquid sanitizers and cleaning wipes to sanitize these surfaces, which means:

  • using harmful chemicals…
  • producing unnecessary waste for the environment
  • Chemical wipes leave a lot of room for manual error. Most wipes require you to leave the chemical solution on the surface, untouched, for 2-4 minutes in order for them to be effective.

2. You switch to a better solution with Everclean while using a highly effective, reliable, environment friendly product that you can easily fit in your bag!

  • laboratory tested
  • portable, easy to use
  • lifespan up to 10.000 hours

Frequently asked questions

What is UVC light?

According to their wavelength we commonly differentiate UVA (315-400 nanometers), UVB (280-315 nm) and UVC (100-280 nm) light. A unique characteristic of UVC light is that it is germicidal-meaning it is capable of inactivating microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and protozoa. This capability has allowed widespread adoption of UV light as an environmentally friendly, chemical free and highly effective way to disinfect and safeguard water, air and hard surfaces against harmful microorganisms.

How does UVC disinfection work?

Unlike chemical approaches to water disinfection, UV light provides rapid, effective inactivation of microorganisms through a physical process. As evident by multiple research studies and reports, when biological organisms are exposed to deep UV light in the range of 200 nanometer to 300 nm it is absorbed by DNA, RNA and proteins. Absorption by proteins can lead to rupture of cell walls and death of the organism.

How much intensity do I need to kill certain organisms?

Microbiological laboratory tests made by Everclean have shown that a given hard surface can be disinfected at a distance of 1 cm with an efficacy of 99%, and by sanitizing it from the same distance for 3 minutes a 99.99% sanitization efficiacy could be reached. The results will, of course, change if either the duration of the disinfection cycle or the distance between the device and the surface is changed.

What bacteria can I eliminate using the sanitizer wand?

UVC energy is a commonly used sterilization technology that has been shown to inactivate a wide range of pathogens (e.g. MRSA, Candida albicans, E. Coli etc.)

Is UVC safe?

EvercleanTM products are designed with safety in mind and when used properly, do not allow exposure to ultraviolet irradiation and allow for safe operation and maintenance. If you are exposed to direct germicidal light, it can burn the top surface of your skin. If your eyes are exposed, it would be similar to a “welder’s flash”, and your eyes can feel dry or gritty. At no time do germicidal lamps cause any permanent damage, however please bear in mind that our devices are intended to be used to sterilise hard surfaces. Do not directly irradiate eyes or human skin.

Should UVC lamps be cleaned?

Yes – depending on the surrounding environment, UVC lamps should be checked periodically (approximately every three months), and can be cleaned with a dry cotton cloth or paper towel. This will also help maximize lamp life.

How hot do the lamps get?

Germicidal UVC lamps do not produce much heat – about the same as fluorescent lamps.

How close should I keep the lamp from the surface?

Keep the lamp 5-10 cm above the surface you would like to sanitize then scan back and forth slowly. Enhance the sanitizing efficiency by increasing time.

How long can I use the wand with a full charge?

With a full charge you could use it for about 1 hour.

Why UVC?

Ultraviolet (UV) light is a form of light, invisible to the human eye, that exists on the electromagnetic spectrum between X-rays and visible light. Based on its physiological effects, we differentiate UV-A, UV-B and UV-C lights. We are exposed to low levels of UV light from the sun’s rays every day, although much of the UV energy is absorbed by the ozone layer.

Devices emitting UV light are no-touch, automated disinfection systems that are used to kill pathogens associated with infectious disease and infections. These devices work primarily through the use of lamps that produce high-intensity ultraviolet C (UV-C) light, a form of electromagnetic radiation (UV-C wavelengths of 200–280 nm on the electromagnetic spectrum). UV-C is germicidal; it destroys the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, preventing them from multiplying, repairing the damaged DNA, and causing infections and disease. As evident by multiple research studies and reports, when biological organisms are exposed to deep UV light in the range of 200 nm to 300 nm it is absorbed by DNA, RNA, and proteins. Absorption by proteins can lead to rupture of cell walls and death of the organism. Absorption by DNA or RNA (specifically by thymine bases) is known to cause inactivation of the DNA or RNA double helix strands through the formation of thymine dimers. If enough of these dimers are created in DNA, the DNA replication process is disrupted, and the cell cannot replicate.
